About us
Table tennis club TTC Meerdaal Leuven is open for all players who want to play and practice in Leuven. Our club was founded on May 13th 1982 with the name TTC Meerdaal. After having played for 10 years in Sint-Joris-Weert, nearby the Meerdaal forest, we moved in 1992 to the heart of Leuven where we are still located today.
The name of the club was changed to TTC Meerdaal Leuven to reflect this. We have always been known for our excellent youth training. Also because of that, we have grown steadily in the competition. We currently have 15 teams (male and female) of which the highest play in the national divisions.
In order to offer our 250 members sufficient training opportunities, we have ample opening hours with a capacity of 17 tables.
We have an extensive group of qualified trainers. The technical committee organizes and regularly evaluates the training courses.
Vision
We want to excel in competition and tournaments and want to maintain our place among the best clubs in Flanders. We do this by developing a motivated and qualified team of trainers that guides and encourages (young) talent and gives them the opportunity to develop themselves.
At the same time, we want to be a club that is accessible to everyone: at TTC Meerdaal Leuven everyone must be able to play and evolve at his or her level and according to their own ambitions.
Winning is important, but not at any cost. Team spirit, respect and fair play are important to us.
We also want to set an example in other areas (transparent and efficient organization, collaboration, sustainability). Below is some more information.
If you want to get to know us better, we recommend that you come by for an introduction.
If you have any further questions, you can reach us by e-mail via info@meerdaal.be.

Since 2019 – 2020 TTC Meerdaal Leuven has been a proud partner of the UiTPAS. Here you can find more information about the UITPAS.
What is the UitPAS?
The UiTPAS is a savings and benefits card issued by the City of Leuven.
What are the goals of the UiTPAS?
- To encourage everyone to get ‘out of’ your home, cocoon,…, mainly by promoting cultural and sports activities through a points system.
- Lowering the barrier for sports and cultural participation for people from Leuven with less financial possibilities, by granting a discount on the membership fee.
How does TTC Meerdaal contribute to this?
TTC Meerdaal is of course happy to actively contribute to both goals. If you have an UiTPAS, you can save one point per training or, when you pay your membership fee, you can save 30 points for the entire season. Please contact Vanja via Vanja.beerts@gmail.com.
If you have the “kansenstatuut” and an UiTPAS (an UiTPAS is free in that case), you will receive an 80% discount on the membership fee. Contact Vanja (Vanja.beerts@gmail.com) for this. All the questions are treated with discretion.
What can I do with the points saved in the UiTPAS?
You can do a lot with both the purchase of the UiTPAS and the saved points. An overview of all the benefits can be found here.
